Meta-Data & Records Administrator
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end-to-end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. Encompassing the three pillars of Project Delivery Management, Design Delivery and Project Services; the Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and project planning, to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations. Reporting to the Project Information Lead, the Meta-Data & Records Administrator will be responsible for the day to day activities associated with the materials incoming inspection process as well as supporting the project information team.
Business Intelligence Analyst
The Data Competency Centre (DCC) delivers centralised ownership and oversight of activities which manage, measure and improve GNI’s data. The DCC advise on the governance, design and management of data and monitor resulting data quality. Within the DCC, GNI data management policy and procedure is created, data architecture is managed, and business intelligence initiatives are prioritised in line with enterprise wide needs. Reporting to the Business Intelligence Lead, the Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the creation of on-demand enterprise reports to meet GNI business intelligence demands as well as supporting the delivery of key BI initiatives and reports to facilitate informed decision making and assist in the effective management of the business. The Business Intelligence Analyst is also responsible for the support of GNI business users in the use of SharePoint solutions within GNI through direct management, best practice methodologies and a supported superuser network.
Project Manager
The Technical Development & Technical Training (TDTT) function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for researching, developing and proving technical solutions for introduction onto GNI’s network or incorporation as part of GNI’s operating methods, as well as for ensuring our people have the necessary technical skills and competencies to safely build, operate and maintain our assets. Encompassing the three pillars of Materials Development, Innovation Delivery and Technical Training, Testing & Competency Development; the TDTT function brings together all the capabilities needed to take network innovation initiatives and new programme concepts and then screen, test and develop these through prototype and pilot programmes; before handing over to BAU. The function also has the capability to oversee and manage the end-to-end technical competence and training requirements for the core organisation. Reporting to the Innovation Delivery Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and driving the delivery of Gas Innovation Fund (GIF) approved innovation projects, through the full innovation lifecycle process. The Project Manager will have responsibility for project managing the delivery of specified new concept programmes which require technology, methodology or operations proving ahead of business implementation. This is a key role within the TDTT team and the successful candidate will need to utilise a multidisciplinary approach to establish and maintain cross-functional relationships, in order to bring wide-ranging projects through multiple stages, which may include screening, business case development, concept proving, prototyping, pilot programming and managing change support.
Leak Surveyor
The Asset Operations function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the construction, operations and maintenance of the Transmission and Distribution networks, executing all field work safely and efficiently in line with all relevant legislation, standards, industry codes and practices. The Services Team within Service Delivery is responsible for managing all meter related work such as customer connections and relocations, meter maintenance, replacement, and decommissioning. Reporting to the Leak Survey Supervisor, the Leak Surveyor will conduct all work in the field in accordance with leak survey procedures AO/MN/015. The leak surveyor will use GNI Programs such as Maximo, and Handheld devices and equipment as required.
Reinstatement and Complaints Coordinator
The Asset Delivery function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the end-to-end planning, designing and delivery of GNI’s portfolio of asset development programmes. Encompassing the three pillars of Project Delivery Management, Design Delivery and Project Services; the Asset Delivery function brings together all the technical and project support capabilities needed to take high-level projects and programmes from the Portfolio Office and translate these through from detailed design and project planning to construction delivery and handover to Asset Operations. Reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Engineer NSWC, the Reinstatement and Complaints Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that construction reinstatement health, safety and quality, and customer charter requirements are carried out. He / she will act as the primary point of contact for Complaints and Escalations within Project Delivery (Construction) to resolve customer complaints. The distribution reinstatement and gas distribution main and service laying works, and associated traffic and pedestrian management, are of key inspection importance for GNI.
Field Operations Technician
The Asset Operations function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for the construction, operations and maintenance of the Transmission and Distribution networks, executing all field work safely and efficiently in line with all relevant legislation, standards, industry codes and practices. The Network Operations team within Asset Operations is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the transmission and distribution networks. Applications are now invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Field Operations Technician. Reporting to the Networks Coordinator or their delegate, the Field Operations Technician is responsible for the delivery of construction, commissioning, operational, maintenance and decommissioning activities on Natural Gas Pipeline, Pressure Control and Metering Assets on the transmission and distribution networks in a safe and efficient manner.
