Large I&C customers:
Connecting Large I&C customers to the network typically involves significant costs. Where customers decide to locate, in terms of proximity to the network, can result in substantial connection and reinforcement costs. These costs must be recovered through connection charges, to protect the level of overall tariffs being impacted. It is proposed that customers will be required to pay full capital costs attributable for the reinforcement. More information on this is available in the Connections Policy Document section 5.1.pdf*
The Connecting party enters into a Large Connection Agreement with Gaslink, which captures among other issues, the construction payment. The contribution in phased payments equals 100% of the capital cost including reinforcement.
